Developed Economies Use Less Social Media For Business

Although social media use for all sorts of marketing is already the norm with B2C and B2B companies around the world, a research by KPMG has revealed that social media use in business is less prevalent in highly developed economies such as North America and Europe compared to developing economies in Asia and Latin America.

Among the countries where social media use was dominant, the usage percentage was: China: 82%; USA: 71%; India: 70%; Brazil: 68%; Canada: 51%; UK: 48%; Germany: 42%; Sweden: 41%; Australia: 41%; and Japan: 27%

The most possible reason for this phenomenon could be that businesses in more developed countries have already established their brands through marketing strategies perfected over the years. They no longer needed to rely heavily on fairly recent marketing channels to reach out to potential sales leads. Businesses in developing countries, on the other hand, are (theoretically) not as established and have understandably lesser budgets for marketing, making social media a cheap yet effective channel for them to reach out to members of their target market globally and generate sales leads.

Another possible reason why businesses are shying away from social media use could be due to the fact that a large percentage of business leaders do not see the value of social media for their business (only 21% understand social media’s potential value).Furthermore, half of the companies who are active on social media don’t have a clear strategy on how to optimise this digital marketing channel for their business, much less a reliable metric system to measure returns on investment.

The Five Kinds Of Innovators Telemarketers Need

Telemarketing

Telemarketing has always been a challenging business enterprise. Sure, the rewards can be a lot, but the risks can be as numerous as well. If your telemarketing firm is not that innovative enough, then you might see your competition leaving you behind. But what about those that were able to move ahead? These firms were lucky because they have innovators that can lead them towards the right path. There are different kinds of innovators, each with their own quirks. It might interest you to know who these are. You never know, you might be one of them.

1. The movers and shakers push their telemarketing company forward. Just be patient with them since they can be seen as to arrogant or pushy.
2. Experimenters are the kind of innovators that love to tinker with the business, more interested in trying new methods, tools, and skills to get the desired results.
3. Star pupils can be said to be all-around, able to identify the brand of their company, as well as promote it. They are the most likely to succeed against challenges.
4. Controllers are another type of innovators, more concerned about having a hand over anything. If your telemarketing firm needs a firm and steady hand, then these people are ideal.
5. Hangers-on may be the most undesirable, always having something to say about campaigns, but you will need someone who knows the numbers. As long as you within budget, they are fine.

These are the kinds of leaders that you might find in a contact center.

Being Brief Means Getting More

For a lot of companies, being able to get the attention of their markets is one of the most important goals in business. They need to spread the information about themselves. Still, there is the fact that the world is so full of information already. The problem then is how to get your message across your prospects. You are going to face a lot of competition. Now, how can you stand out? The secret here lies in brevity. You need to be brief in sending out your message. Prospects do not have all the time in the world, so it will be great if you can shorten the time needed to get the message across.

There are five main points to consider if you want to send an effective message. The points are very simple and easy to do. All you need to do is to:

1. Use short, to the point sentences when you write a message to your prospects.
2. Keep your tweets on Twitter within 140 characters in order to encourage re-tweets.
3. Your e-mails should be 200 words or less, since a longer one would become a document.
4. Try keeping your YouTube recordings within two minutes to maximize the time of viewers.
5. Use telemarketing as a medium when you need to get across your prospects faster.

You really will not go wrong in this. A lot of prospects will thank you for that. Also, this will encourage you to come up with better ideas to grab their attention.
